Sanford J. Gossett

Sanford J. Gossett of Town of Ulster died Monday, July 1, 2013 at his home. He was 93. He was born in Middletown, a son of the late Morris and Eva Wolf Gossett. Sandy served in the US Army during WW II in India. He married Florence Rafalowsky on March 4, 1945. Sandy owned and operated Broadway Dry Good's in midtown Kingston for 35 years. He was a longtime member of Congregation Ahavath Israel. Loving husband of Florence Gossett who died June 6, 1992; father of Richard Gossett and his wife Irene of Bronxville, grandfather of Natalie, Olivia, Rylee and Jagger Gossett, brother of the late Irene Schwartz and Harold Gossett. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Lindenhurst at 11:00 am. Cantor Elizabeth Sternlieb will officiate.
