Shelly Lea Murdock

Shelly Lea Murdock died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. She was 30. She was born December 27, 1977 in Edgewater, FL the daughter of Jean Myrtle Murdock and the late William W. Murdock Jr. Shelly was a graduate of the Brookside School and attended programs at Ulster-Greene ARC. She had a big smile, loved music and had a great sense of humor. Surviving in addition to her mother of Edgewater, FL is her paternal grandmother, Marie Murdock of Kingston; her half-sister, Karen Murdock of New Symerna, FL and her half-brother, Jermey Murdock of Gainsville, FL and her long-time caregivers, Teresa and Charles Herzog of Saugerties. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Myrtle and her uncle, Robert Myrtle died previously. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Charles Stickley will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosendale Plains Cemetery.
