Susan A. Healey

Susan A. Healey of Vincent Street died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at her home. She was 89. She was born in Kingston on June 12, 1914, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Theresa Weider Maccaline. A beautician for most of her life, Mrs. Healey owned and operated Sue’s Beauty Salon on Broadway for 25 years and then on North Front Street for 25 years. She retired at age 85. A parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church, she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society, Town of Ulster Leisure Club and the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW. Her loving husband John D. Healey died August 11, 1995. Three sisters Mary Perry, Louise Bonavita and Anna Parkes, and two brothers James and Michael Maccaline all died previously. Loving mother of Joanne Hanigan and her husband Robert, grandmother of John and Beth Hanigan. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Reposing at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be on Saturday at 8:45 from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
