Theresa J. Cafaro

Theresa J. Cafaro formerly of Ulster Park, NY, died, January 17, 2004 in Kingston. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Mazzuca Jordan. Formerly of Union Center Road, she was a former parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, Esopus. A parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Kingston, she belonged to the Altar-Rosary Society and Legion of Mary. Mrs. Cafaro also sang, through St. Joseph’s at area nursing homes. For many years Mrs. Cafaro was involved with the family business: Cafaro Brothers Orchards in Ulster Park. Her husband Nicholas J. Cafaro died November 6, 1981. Three sisters, Angelina DeCicco, Mary Sorbello and Helen Spada and three nieces Lena DiMicco, Rose Arace and Margaret Candello all died previously. Surviving are many nieces and nephews including Mary DiMicco, Florence Heaney, Teresa Melnik, Laura Brown, Eugene R., Joseph A. and Anthony F. Spada, James Ellsworth, Michelle Wilbur, Agnes, Paul Jr. and Thomas Gardner. The funeral procession will form on Monday at 2:00 PM at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Kingston at 3:00 PM. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town Center, Boys Town, NE 68010.
