Theresa M. Cozza

Theresa M. Cozza of Lake Katrine Apartments, Lake Katrine died Monday, February 13, 2006. She was 81. She was born in East Kingston on July 21, 1924, a daughter of the late Jerome and Theresa Sisco Guido. Mrs. Cozza was raised in East Kingston and for many years worked as a trimmer in area garment factories in East Kingston and Kingston. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. A parishioner of St. Colman's Church, for many years she lived on O'Neil St., Kingston before moving to Lake Katrine. Theresa loved and cared for her brothers and sisters and three generations of nieces and nephews. She was an avid Yankee fan. Her husband Joseph R. Cozza died October 30, 1994. Three sisters Julia Long, Fannie Colucci and Mary Buono, and eight brothers Michael, Gabriel, James, Ernest, Jerome, Charles and Salvatore Guido and John Mauro are also deceased. Surviving are two sisters Jennie Parise of Poughkeepsie and Louise Jones and her husband Donald 'Nippy' Jones of Lake Katrine; one brother Thomas Guido of Orange, NJ; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colman's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
