Veronica C. Timmons

Veronica C. Timmons, 71, of Saugerties, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at her home. Born in Yonkers, she was a daughter of the late Thomas & Catherine Martine Mott. Veronica graduated from Yonkers High School and went on to be a Licensed Practical Nurse. She moved to Red Hook in 1981 and worked at Ferncliff Nursing Home until her retirement in 2002. She was an avid Yankee fan, a voracious reader, enjoyed travelling and computer games. Veronica is survived by her partner of 28 years, Barbara C. Nickerson, two daughters, Catherine Timmons of Saugerties and Maureen Winberg and her husband Jym of Martinsburg, WV. She was also survived by her beloved Bichon Frise, Gaby, the love of her life. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to any food pantry or favorite charity of one's choice.
