Allen F. Mastandrea, 87, of Stone Ridge, NY, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was the son of the late Angelo and Stephania Ozakowski Mastandrea.
Allen served in the United States Air Force. He was employed as a supervisor for Nassau Smelting, which was located on Staten Island, until his retirement in 1981.
Allen was known for being a master of one-liners who also loved the outdoors and was a member of the Vly Atwood Volunteer Fire Department. He was a craftsman who built his own home that he shared with his loving wife, Norma Bougades Mastandrea, whom he married on June 16, 1951.
In addition to his wife, Allen is survived by his 9 children Jeffrey, of Ellenville, Allyn of Kerhonkson, Lori of Phoenicia, Christopher of Old Bridge, NJ, Dru Kambouris and her husband Alex of Accord, Jennifer of Maine, Elizabeth Larsen and her husband Glen of Kerhonkson, Matthew, of Kerhonkson, and Mark and his wife Kate of Kingston, as well as his sister Barbara, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and his baby, Heidi. Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Services will be private.
