Ann M. Horowitz, 87, of Kingston, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Brooklyn, Ann was a daughter of the late Nathaniel & Ruth Braunstein Head. She was a member of the Jewish Women's International, American Cancer Reach for Recovery, Hadassah and the Wiltwyck Golf Club.
Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Horowitz of Kingston, whom she married on December 19, 1954, three children, Ian Horowitz and his partner Eva Petramale of Kingston, Fred Horowitz and his wife Linda of Kingston, Ellen Peruso and her husband Rick of Kingston, five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Meg and Amelia Horowitz, Derek Horowitz and Benjamin Rosenthal. One great grandson, Landon and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her brother Philip Head and a granddaughter, Leia LaTorre.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave at 10:00 AM, with Rabbi Yael Romer of Temple Emanuel, officiating.
Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
