Anna Sprague

November 11, 1912 — January 2, 2007

Anna Sprague, formerly of Seven Greens Apartments, Town of Ulster, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Thompson House, Rhinebeck. She was 94. She was born in Kingston on November 22, 1912 a daughter of the late Lewis and Mary E. Baker Smedes. For 23 years Mrs. Sprague worked at Hercules, Port Ewen. She retired in 1975. A member of the Plattekill Reformed Church, she belonged to A.A.R.P. and the Town of Ulster Senior Citizens. Two sisters, Gertrude Fiore and Beatrice Holsopple and an infant brother all died previously. Surviving are two sons Ronald W. Sprague and his wife Roberta of New Port Richie, Florida and Frasier Sprague and his wife Dale of Kingston; one daughter Malvina 'Bunny' Berinato and her husband Bartolo J., Jr. of Kingston; twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service, conducted by Rev. Thomas Goodhart will begin at 7:30 PM on Wednesday. Contributions in Anna Sprague's memory may be made to the Plattekill Reformed Church, PO Box 33, Mt. Marion, NY 12456.
