Beverly M Acker

Beverly M. Acker, 85, of Kingston died on Thursday April 14, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her loved one.

Born in Gabriels, NY she was the daughter of the late Reginald Russell & Frederica Martin.

Beverly was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GGA) and sister. She worked as a school bus driver starting with Acker Bus Line, then Laidlaw and ending with First Student.

Beverly is survived by her four children, Debra Borst, of Kingston, Daryl Wells, of Saugerties, John Acker, of Rhinebeck and Beth Murphy of Kingston, two grandchildren, James, and Kayla, three great grandchildren, Stephen, Thomas and Hazel, her sister Barbara Van Wagenen, of Kingston, a brother James Russell, and his wife Patricia, of Hurley and a sister Lela Smith of Saugerties and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beverly is predeceased by her husband John who passed away in 1992, a son James Acker and daughter Susan Acker, her brothers Donald Russell, Eugene Russell and John Russell and her sister Joan Russell.

A graveside service will be held at 1PM, Wednesday April 27, 2022 at The Montrepose Cemetery, 75 Montrepose Ave, Kingston, NY.

Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home is honored to assist the family of Beverly with the funeral arrangements.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
