Chane Yachness

Chane Yachness of Saugerties, NY, daughter of Zalman Yachness and Rochele Barak. The Yiddish World regrets the passing of a strong, vibrant and passionate Soldier for Yiddishkeit. Her presence in the World gave joy and meaning to multiple generations. She requested that all support should be given to those institutions that promote Yiddish literature, language and culture. Service for Chane will be held at Woodstock Jewish Congregation on Monday, September 30, at 11 AM. with Rabbi Jonathan Kligler officiating. Private interment will follow. A Memorial Service will be held at Woodstock Jewish Congregation following Sheloshim.
