David Katzowitz, of Van De Bogart Road, Woodstock died Friday, January 26, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital. He was born in Manhattan the son of the late Harry and Fannie Kaplowitz Katzowitz.
Mr. Katzowitz served as a Captain in the US Army. He belonged to the Free and Accepted Masons in Manhattan. He married Tamara Komkow on February 6, 1975.
Mr. Katzowitz worked many years at the Goldman Hotel, West Orange, NJ and the Harbor Island Spa in Long Branch, NJ.
He was an area resident for 27 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter Alexis Katzowitz of Manhattan, Adam Katzowitz of Manhattan, and Andrew Katzowitz of Queens; three sisters Beth Brenker, Rose Patsiner, and Dorothy Katzowitz, all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his brother in law and sister in law Alice and Robert Williamson of Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday at 1:00 PM at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. Rabbi Tamar Crystal will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
