Diana M. LaFave

Diana M. LaFave, 66, of Long Neck, DE, formerly of Kingston, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late James J. & Julia J. Guadagnolo Carpino. Diana was a Registered Nurse for forty years. She loved to travel, especially to Mexico and the Caribbean. After her retirement and moving to Delaware, in 2009, she pursued a number of interests including jewelry making, reading, cooking and computer gaming. Diana is survived by her husband Joe LaFave, of Long Neck, DE; stepson Matthew LaFave, his wife Kimberly and granddaughter Isabella of Albany; stepson Christopher LaFave and his wife Jessica of San Diego, CA; and step daughter Meredith LaFave of New York City. She is also survived by her Uncle Charles Carpino of Poughkeepsie, Aunt Marietta Carpino of Kingston and Godmother Peggy Perry of Kingston, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Church. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society Memorial Processing, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
