Ida A. Heins 77 of Saugerties, who formally resided in Port Ewen for many years, died Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck NY. Born in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Josephine Lazzarro DEsposito. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Heins Jr. who died in 2007. Ida was self-employed for many years as a Housekeeper for various families throughout the area until her retirement in 2008. She was lovingly called a domestic goddess by her family. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her many plants, she was a collector of Knick Knacks, her favorite was her pink cat. She enjoyed spending time watching the Home Shopping Network and was a fan of Judge Judy. But most of all her days were spent taking care of her two dogs Louie and Lexi. Ida is survived by three children, Patricia Heins of Saugerties, Anthony Heins of Port Ewen, Edward L. Heins III, and his wife Stephanie of Kingston, one granddaughter Taylor Heins and her husband Bill Naccaratto III., her sister Mary Graziano and her husband John, and sister in-law Lillian DEsposito Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews along with five close friends, Francis Miller, Terri Beesmer, Kristina Milani, Susan Azziz, and Mark Simpson, also survive. Besides her parents and husband, Ida was predeceased by a granddaughter, Alexzandra Maidl-Heins, four sisters, Filomena Gallello, Matilda Esposito, Yolanda Bracconeri, Margie Farrett, three brothers, Louis DEsposito, Orlando DEsposito, Joseph DEsposio, two nieces, Mary OKeefe, Virginia Bracconeri, and a nephew John Graziano. Ida will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 5-9 PM. A funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, at the funeral home, Rev. Pam Pierce officiating. Interment to follow in Highland Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made in her name to the St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or to The Autism Society of the Hudson Valley, 230 Kings Mall Court #159, Kingston, NY. 12401 .
