Jeffrey M. Fredenberg

Jeffrey M. Fredenberg, 68, of Hurley, died suddenly, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home. Born in Sroudsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Richard & Louise Marean Fredenberg. Jeff was co-owner of The Augustine Agency with his wife Joanne. Upon the sale of their agency to Rose & Kiernan, he became a vice president. He retired in May of 2012. He was past board member of the Kingston Hospital Foundation, Gateway Community Industries, Red Cross of Ulster and Dutchess Counties, a current board member of the Gateway Community Foundation and a member of the SUNY New Paltz Business Advisory Council. Jeff enjoyed cooking, golfing, gardening, teaching and mentoring, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Jeff is survived by his wife, Joanne Augustine Fredenberg of Hurley, a son, Dr. Jason R. Fredenberg and his wife Diana of Hurley, a sister, Jennifer L. Fredenberg of Charlotte, NC, two grandchildren, Jackson Jeffrey Dorozynski Fredenberg and Harrison Stanislaw Dorozynski Fredenberg. Jeff will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 1:00-6:00 PM. The funeral procession will form on Monday from the funeral home at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be conducted at the Hurley Reform Church at 10:00 with Rev. Charles Stickley officiating. Interment will follow in Hurley Cemetery.
