Joan Smith, 87 of Ulster Park, died Monday March 29, 2021 peacefully at her home.
Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mae Bogart Snyder.
Joan grew up loving dance lessons and skating at the local Roller rink. As an adult she loved watching old movies on DVD or the Hallmark Channel. Most of all she loved camping in the Adirondacks with her friends and family.

Joan is survived by her daughter Nadine Peterson, of Kingston, a granddaughter, Kelly Camisasca, of Leeds, NY, a niece Jodi Klonowski, of Kingston, and a nephew Stanley Klonowski, of Kingston. Joan is also survived by three great grandchildren, Jeremy, Brendan and Jordyn.

In addition to Joan’s parents. She is predeceased by her husband James A. Smith who pasted away December 23, 2002.

Joan will be reposing at the Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home 411 Albany Ave on Saturday April 3, 2021 from 9 to 10A.M.
The funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Britton from Emanuel Lutheran Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
